Your contribution will be STAFF ADMINISTRATION for all UK employments:

• Being responsible for the staff administration of UK employments throughout the entire employee’s life cycle, aligning with the global HR Business Partner for any international positions
• Administrating all HR aspects of compensation and benefits to employees (salaries, allowances, bonuses, etc.), and ensuring that all legal requirements on filing, data management and data protection are met
• Co-ordinating with Finance & Operation colleagues to ensure accurate completion of monthly payroll and pension submissions. This will include providing a monthly schedule of any staff changes for payroll and pension administration purposes
• Supporting the onboarding of international positions in the UK
• Working closely with the global HR centers of expertise to ensure that global policies and processes are successfully adjusted to UK requirements (legally and culturally), taking care of the local customization of templates, policies, tools or forms
• Maintaining all HR systems for the UK and being able to provide accurate data and reports at any time when requested
• Maintaining the UK staff handbook and ensuring UK HR policies are kept up to date and relevant with current legislation and best practice
• Co-ordinating office activities such as Team Away days and learning seminars
• Researching and staying up to date with local trends, benchmarks and any legal regulations related to employments in order to strengthen the role for FOUR PAWS as employer

ADVISING for local employments:

Serving as advisor and primary point of contact for local employees and line managers in the UK country organization: Topics will include;

• First point of contact and lead on UK employment law & best practice advice;
• Recruitment, selection & onboarding including salary consideration;
• Performance management and appraisal support;
• Employee relations topics including discipline, grievance management, flexible working arrangements and more
Ensuring continuity in the local HR function by optimizing day-day functionality.

HR BUSINESS Partnering

• Leading recruiting activities for local UK employments including partnering with international talent management teams
• Contribute to UK Senior Management teamwork and attend meetings as needed by the Head of Finance & Operation and Director UK
• Representing the UK HR function within the international HR community at FOUR PAWS. Ad-hoc project work with international stakeholders will be a key feature of the position
• Identifying an organizational training plan and supporting with its implementation in order to enhance the performance of FOUR PAWS UK employees
• Coaching and developing the local UK leadership team in HR related issues to ensure they have the appropriate skills and knowledge to drive the organization forward
• Complying with local organizational requirements for quality management, health & safety, legal, environmental policies and general duty of care.
• Representing the local HR approach when collaborating with other departments
• Attending regular team calls or meetings both locally and internationally.

Essential:

• CIPD level 5 qualified or relevant comparable experience
• Experience in HR responsibilities in a similarly senior role

About the role:

We are looking to appoint an experienced fundraiser to secure new corporate partnerships to help fund the growth of our care services, and to build relationships with companies to help them achieve their CSR goals.

Reporting to the Corporate and Community Fundraising Manager. You will be part of a team to drive Rainbow Trust’s Corporate income, building and maintaining the pipeline through effective networking, prospecting, and stewardship. The role:

• Developing and managing The Access Project’s financial strategy and associated KPIs with key stakeholders across the organisation.
• Managing variance analysis and reporting, reforecasting and rolling 12-month cash flow forecast successfully whilst optimising use of cash resources in line with its investment policy and risk management procedures.
• Owning and developing the financial control framework of The Access Project including optimising use of related systems.

DAY TO DAY DELIVERY OF EVENTS 
   

• Responsible for the overall administration of all student events, with specific responsibility to ensure student communication is exceptional. Including event management, student and partner communication and coordination of all the relevant stakeholders, along with posting roles on opportunities pages, promoting events and managing the law commercial awareness newsletter content.  

 
 STUDENT MANAGEMENT & QUERY HANDLING  
   

• Responsible for the relationship management of the students - including the ability to understand needs, resolve issues and anticipating and creating a strong relationship on behalf of SEO-London 
• Responsible for managing student query escalations and to identify where there are opportunities to improve communication, marketing, or the type of events

You will work on a major mixed-methods research project exploring the spiritual, existential and political impact of new motherhood. The Children's Society is clear on the impact it wants to create for young people - directly through our services for young people and through our systems change and influencing work at all levels in society. The Director of Research, Evaluation and Impact is part of the Leadership Team at The Children's Society, a Senior Leader within the Youth Impact domain. The Youth Impact domain is where all of our service delivery for young people and a lot of systems change activity takes place.

The Director will lead the Research, Evidence and Impact Team who have a vital role in ensuring that The Children's Society retains a clear and authentic understanding of young people's lives, with a focus on what is most important to building or preserving wellbeing. Our charity has been at the forefront of research on children's wellbeing for 20 years, alongside conducting child-centred studies on adolescence, risk and vulnerability (e.g. on Child Exploitation), and child poverty, exploring the issues that jeopardise young people's safety, health and opportunities. We have a track record for innovation (e.g. developing a validated and widely used 'Good Childhood Index') and work with academic partners and other organisations who share our vision of a society built for all children.

The Team are also responsible for overseeing and supporting the range of external evaluations that The Children's Society commissions to evidence the effectiveness of our direct services. Collating and sharing learning so we deepen our understanding of what interventions and support is effective for young people, or contributes to creating wider systems change for young people in our society.

Our collaborative culture at The Children's Society means that we closely work with colleagues who lead lobbying and political campaigning activities, as well as external communications and messaging, bringing together compelling evidence to drive change - in public awareness and attitudes, and in policies and systems - that can improve young people's lives. We also work closely with colleagues in our services across the country - sometimes to study the issues they see in their direct work with young people and families, and sometimes to support them when they commission independent evaluations or learning exercises.

The Research, Evidence and Impact Team's work is also pivotal to two flagship reports that The Children's Society publishes every year - The Good Childhood Report and our Annual Impact report. The role holder will be responsible for leading both these pieces of work, as well as the continued development of The Children's Society's Impact Measurement Framework.

This is a newly formed Director role that will become an active member of our Senior Leadership Team, reporting to the Executive Director of Youth Impact. It is a strategic, national role. With your energy, enthusiasm and passion to make a difference in young people's lives, you will be responsible for developing and implementing a strategic research, evaluation and impact programme to drive forward the achievement of our goal - leading a team of experienced researchers to help you achieve this.

Key responsibilities will be to:

-Deliver the organisations Impact Measurement Framework, and drive forward the measurement of impact across the charity - reporting to a range of audiences

SAFE! Support for Young People Affected by Crime is a dynamic Oxford based charity working across the Thames Valley.  We are looking for experienced practitioners based in South Bucks and the surrounding areas to provide support on a freelance basis to young people and parents/caregivers across all our services. International Fisheries

Pew's international fisheries work aims to protect marine biodiversity and provide food and livelihoods for a growing population by addressing in specific, targeted contexts one of the ocean's main threats-inadequate management and control of large-scale fishing activities. Organized into three projects, our main areas of work include: the advancement of precautionary harvest strategies and effective compliance regimes for international fisheries (RFMO Policy); improved policies and actions aimed at ending illegal, unreported, and unregulated fishing (Ending Illegal Fishing); and the advancement of ecosystem considerations in the management of fisheries (Ecosystem Conservation).

Position Overview

The senior officer, Squid Governance, International Fisheries plays an important role in securing improved oversight of global squid fisheries by key governments and international bodies, including through collaboration with other Pew projects and external organizations working on related topics and in targeted regions. Reporting to the project director, the senior officer works alongside subject leads across the international fisheries portfolio, and collaborates with colleagues across the Ending Illegal Fishing, Ecosystem Conservation and RFMO Policy teams to identify opportunities and conduct efforts to improve the governance of unregulated and under-regulated squid fisheries

Located in Pew's London, UK office or Brussels, Belgium office, this position will participate in Pew's core in-office days on Tuesdays and Wednesdays and will have flexibility to work from home the remainder of each week , as business needs permit .

Responsibilities

Who is The Charlie Waller Trust?
The Charlie Waller Trust was created by the Waller family in 1997 in response to the loss of their son and brother Charlie who died by suicide. We have since become one of the UK’s most respected mental health charities for children and young people. Our overarching mission is to educate those with responsibility for children and young people - parents and carers, teachers, college and university staff, and employers - about children and young people’s mental health and wellbeing.

The Youth Ambassador Role: We are seeking UK-based Youth Ambassadors (16-25 year olds) to join our Youth Involvement Team. We wish to appoint people that can bring diverse experiences in education, work or community in order to help create and shape the work that we do. The Youth Ambassadors role is about prioritising youth representation, identity and community across our charitable activity and beyond. The Charlie Waller Team will provide appropriate training, guidance, and ongoing support to those selected.

How much time am I expected to commit?
We expect those joining the Youth Ambassador group to join on a freelance basis for one year from February 2025 to January 2026. 
Hours are subject to change each month but on average we would plan for you to work for CWT for up to 14 hours (2 days) per month. The majority of the working hours offered can be arranged as flexibly as possible around your other commitments

Will I be paid?Ambassadors will be remunerated for their time at a delivery and desk rate of £15 per hour for work both online and in person.

You’ll have loads of experience in digital-first campaigning, especially knowing how to use a large email list to spark activism, but also will love using a range of digital tools and platforms to give people the power to influence decision-makers.

You understand how to translate complex issues into everyday, understandable language and you’re experienced in running digital and offline campaigns that create change in local, national, political and corporate issue areas.

As you’ll oversee our small Public Affairs and Media team, you’ll know what makes Westminster tick, and how to influence politicians and journalists in every part of the country.

The Worker Support Centre (WSC) is a Scotland based charity that promotes decent work and prevents exploitation. We support marginalised and isolated workers in labour sectors where there is a high risk of abuse and exploitation. We work in partnership with workers to build power to secure and advance workplace rights. We prevent human trafficking for forced labour by acting to reduce the risks of worker exploitation. WSC values include: respect for human rights, representation, transparency, equality and innovation. 

WSC support includes advice, mediation, advocacy and assisted reporting to enforcement agencies. Our worker engagement informs policy change activity to address harms faced by those in high-risk work. In 2023 and 2024 WSC activities were targeted at workers in seasonal agriculture on the UK Seasonal Worker visa (SWV). During this time, we provided advice, support, and information to 1031 people in relation to the SWV. WSC is now embarking on a new project to engage workers in health and social care to advance social care workers’ rights through worker education and power sessions. 

About the role

This role is focused on advancing seasonal agricultural and social care workers’ rights by supporting WSC’s policy and advocacy work. In this role you will support WSC meet two of its four core objectives to work together with workers to claim spaces for power and representation in decision making; and to build the field of knowledge about workers and their experiences to influence policy. As well as work delivered directly by WSC, our policy work includes coordinating with coalitions such as the Ethical Trading Initiative, the Seasonal Worker Interest Group and the Scottish Food Coalition.

WSC strives to achieve representation of individuals with lived experience of the issues on which we work at all levels of our organisation and actively promote applications from individuals with experience of the issues on which we work. 

Main tasks and responsibilities

Policy and advocacy

· Lead in the development of components of policy, ensuring engagement of workers and cross-organisational engagement.

· Identify emerging legislation and develop an influencing strategy.

· Lead key influencing moments and processes, working in collaboration with policy coalitions of which WSC is part.

· Draft worker-informed and evidenced briefings, submissions to consultations in support of worker policy priorities and engage closely with civil servants, Government officials and other decision makers on policy objectives.

· Support participatory engagement with workers to understand what democratic engagement platforms might best suit them and help create opportunities to influence processes.

· Track, assess, understand and respond to future legislative developments and the strategic direction being taken by UK Government, UK Parliament, Scottish Parliament and Scottish Government.

Stakeholder engagement

· Develop and maintain strong working relationships with senior stakeholders in Government, enforcement authorities and industry.

· Contribute to wider sectoral networks and groups, including attending meetings and setting joint policy strategy objectives.

· Provide high-quality support to the CEO and other senior staff with external stakeholder engagement, developing targeted briefings.

Participation

· Support WSC Peer Engagement Officers to conduct participatory workshops with workers to understand their concerns and to develop and articulate collective concerns through influencing strategies.

· Support participatory analysis workshops with workers to jointly analyse concerns articulated in order to establish standards workers would like to see upheld for seasonal workers.

· Support the review and documentation of barriers to democratic engagement for seasonal agricultural workers and migrant social carers.  

· Actively support workers to engage in advocacy, including by providing worker-centred briefings on advocacy processes and meetings, ensuring meaningful participation and leadership by workers.

· Support workers to create spaces for policy influence, engaging in actively listening to worker priorities and concerns.

General

· Support the whole organisation goal to integrate workers in all our work at all levels of the organisation.

· Ensure effective monitoring, evaluation and learning of our work including contributing to organisational processes.

Person Specification

1) KNOWLEDGE AND TECHNICAL SKILLS

• WSC Organisational knowledge, and/or knowledge of the issues on which we work: labour rights, migrant rights, organising, anti-trafficking and human rights.
• Technical understanding of policy specific to the subject areas on which WSC works, particularly opportunity scanning, strategic entry points and key stakeholders of influence.
• Legislation/Policy: The post-holder will lead on the development of policy, engagement with legislation in passage through parliament (UK or Scottish) and implementation of legislation.  Considerable liaison with external stakeholders is required, understanding on how policy/legislation is made and knowledge and understanding of its technical content is essential. 
• Influencing and advocacy: Proven ability to identify key stakeholders of influence and to form strong relationships of influence.

2) QUALIFICATIONS

• Degree level in public policy, law, or human rights or equivalent experience.
• Postgraduate qualification in public policy, law or human rights.
• A valid UK Driving license.

3) EXPERIENCE REQUIRED

• Technical professional experience in labour rights, organising, migrant rights and anti-trafficking -4 years
• Direct parliamentary experience with knowledge of UK and Scottish political systems - 2 years
• Engagement with people with lived experience of the issues on which developing policy. - 1 year
• Use of equipment and systems; Standard Microsoft suite; Microsoft Project - 1 year
• Experience of policy development - 2 years
• Fluency in English (verbal and written)
• Working competence in Russian or a Central Asian language.

Purpose of Post

This is a position offering someone with the appropriate values and experience, the opportunity to play a pivotal part in our small HR team (Head of HR and Senior HR Coordinator). As an HR Support Assistant we would expect you to have a strong customer service focus with a remit of providing high quality and accurate effective HR administration service relating to the recruitment, onboarding and employee lifecycle processes and procedures. This role is part of first line HR support for a current headcount of 175 employees.

Key Responsibilities

• To work closely with the team and deliver a high quality and confidential administrative process from recruitment throughout the employee journey at Herts Mind Network.
• Undertake general HR tasks as required and appropriate to the role including responding promptly to internal/external e-mails and completing other general administrative duties accurately and efficiently as needed.
• To work in compliance with employment law and best practice for HR processes including, contracts, starters and leavers, employment checks, DBS checks and pre-employment referencing.
• Support with note taking for internal HR meetings, with guidance from the HR team.
• Arrange candidate interviews on request and follow up to ensure documentation and recruitment records are held according to our retention policy and GDPR standards
• To collate data for submission to payroll.
• To respond to Subject Access Requests in relation to employee SARs.
• Promoting communication with EAP and for permanent staff communication about Cash plan and other benefits that may be available from time to time.

• Ensure leavers are offboarded promptly.
