Main Purpose of the Role:
This is an exciting opportunity to join our dynamic team at Camden Carers and make a difference to the lives of carers and families in Camden. We are looking for a hardworking, innovative, enthusiastic and flexible team member who is able to adapt to the ever changing and challenging times we find ourselves currently in.
As a part of the Support & Wellbeing Team, you will be required to identify Young Adult Carers aged 18-30 years from all communities in the London Borough of Camden, who care for a family member, partner or friend with a disability or long-term illness. You will provide relevant and appropriate support, information and advocacy to Young Adult Carers. You will lead on developing and maintaining effective partnerships with other statutory and voluntary services as well as developing a service to support Young Adult Carers who are also NEET (not in education, employment or training).
Carers Trust estimate that there are at least 600,000 Young Adult Carers in the UK.
A consultation carried out in 2023 showed that over 75% of Young Adult Carers in Camden have poor emotional/mental health and poor physical health. The study also highlighted that high numbers of Young Adult Carers require support with finances, employment, education and managing personal relationships.

Stakeholder relationship management

HR Operations

• Directly deliver prioritised operational activity, and periodic projects (for example the Group annual pay review).
• With the Director of People and Head of HR Advisory, oversee the development and implementation of People Policy, processes and practices from start to end of the employment lifecycle.
• Oversee the development of relationships with external providers of benefits and services for the whole staff body, such as pension, travel and employee support providers.
• Oversee the delivery of services within the People Team budget, supporting budget setting annually.
• People Team Operating Framework:
o Contribute to the ongoing review and update of operating processes to ensure continuous improvement of the team’s service provision.
o Assist in the provision of guidance on practically applying the policies, procedure and process for staff, line managers, and the People Team.
o Continue to support the People Team Systems leads to reinvent the way that XCD exchanges data with other key systems in Finance and IT, to improve operational efficiency and management information.

HR Advisory Provision
• Maintain a knowledge of best practice compliance with employment law and regulatory requirements to support appropriate risk management relating to staff employment and personnel management.
• In conjunction with the Head of HR Advisory, consult and advise across the full range of employee relations matters.
• Ensure the appropriate and comprehensive documentation of key meetings and discussions between staff, line managers and the People Team regarding HR issues.
Line Management Upskilling
• Assist all levels of management with the performance management process, disciplinary and redundancy processes, and probationary period responsibilities.
• Create proactive and effective programmes for upskilling HODs and Line Managers in their understanding and handling of the full range of employee relations issues.
Learning and Development
• May take a lead in further developing the HTB Group L&D offering, harnessing the newly enabled capability in our HR system, XCD.
• Promote good levels of engagement in all L&D activities provided, through the People Team and other Professional Services teams.
• Further develop the L&D offering as appropriate or in response to particular needs.
Recruitment
• May take a lead in overseeing recruitment and onboarding activity, ensuring continuous improvement and maintaining an excellent candidate experience for all applicants.
• Support the upskilling of hiring managers to ensure that they play their full role in hiring team members with adherence to best practice and legal requirements.
The Right Candidate
• 6 years+ experience in a generalist HR role, including at least 3 years in a Manager/Lead HR Advisor level role.
• Chartered Member of the CIPD; Masters or equivalent qualification in HR.
• Credibility at senior levels and excellent relationship building skills; a strongly people-focussed stance with the ability to maintain a practical and pragmatic approach to problem-solving and case-handling.
• The highest integrity, sensitivity and confidentiality.

CoppaFeel! are the UK’s only youth focused breast cancer awareness charity, and we’re on a mission to get every 18-24 year old checking their chest. Skills and experience
Essential
- Part qualified Accountant or qualified by experience
- Evidence of building successful working relationships externally and internally and at all levels of an organisation
- Able collaborate and use good interpersonal skills to navigate complex and or difficult conversations
- Ability to analyse complex information, problem solve and communicate findings effectively.
- Have good working knowledge of reporting requirements and UK charity regulations experience including SORP
- Have experience driving change and improving processes.

Job Purpose:
This is an exciting opportunity to work on the continuous development and delivery of a specialist service working in partnership with Central Northwest London NHS Foundation Trust, providing enhanced support to women with mental and physical health needs preparing to leave prison and resettle back in to the community. About the role
As a Housing First Coach you will deliver high quality person-centred support, using psychologically and trauma informed approaches, in line with Housing First principles. You will take a bold approach to establishing open and trusting relationships with people who have had long histories of homelessness or in temporary/insecure accommodation, enabling them to access and sustain accommodation and empower them to exercise choice and control over their lives. The team is multi-disciplinary – Coaches, Peer Support Worker, Clinical Psychologist – which allows us to collaboratively formulate innovative approaches to support. You may have a background in housing/homelessness support, adult safeguarding, drug or alcohol recovery services or mental health and have significant experience of working within a multidisciplinary setting with the ability to create strong professional relationships and creative solutions. You will have experience of working with people who have faced severe and multiple exclusion and who may have ‘complex needs’; with an understanding of the needs of people who have been homeless for long periods of time. You will be willing and able to provide practical assistance with moving into and maintaining a home – including direct help where necessary with tasks such as shopping, budgeting, cooking, and cleaning. You will also have a knowledge of Housing First and Housing Led approaches and the ability to work within a psychologically informed approach.

Contract: 2-year Fixed-term contract, with the potential to extend, Full-time.

For the UK Location: Hybrid working, WaterAid is located at Canary Wharf, London and this will be your location and contract base. About the Team:
The Resilient Water Accelerator (RWA), hosted by WaterAid, is global initiative that aims to:
- Address the climate impacts on water to strengthen resilience in vulnerable communities;
- Secure greater investment from public and private sources in water infrastructure and services;
- Ensure this work can be replicated and scaled to increase long term water security.
To achieve this we will work with policy makers, experts, investors and communities to identify critical climate risks to water and shape a business case for priority projects. We will work to ensure these projects act as positive examples of a new approach to programme development in the water and climate sectors. This role will play an essential part in delivering our international programme of work.
As Communication and Advocacy Manager you will play a key role in delivering our global thought leadership objectives
About the Role:
As Communication and Advocacy Manager you will help to draw links between our work in country and the much needed action on international finance for climate resilience. You will be ready to engage strategically with influential governments and organisations to influence their policies and practices as they relate to water.
As a leader on communications you will be a critical part of the RWA’s global team — helping to link the different parts of the RWA together and co-ordinate with our partners around the world. You will ensure the team has a line of sight to the relevant policies and initiatives affecting the RWA’s work, and that there is clear, consistent and compelling messaging of the Accelerator through different communications channels. They will bring a fresh and inventive approach lead the communication of that thought leadership with key stakeholders. You will lead internal communications with WaterAid and the Steering Committee and work with colleagues across WaterAid’s network to build awareness of the Accelerator’s work. This will be vital to amplifying our messaging around global water security and climate adaptation. As this work is in its early stages, a flexible approach to the team’s work will be helpful, adjusting to changing priorities and progress on the ground.
The position will be hosted by WaterAid, which has been acting as the Accelerator’s interim host until an agreement with a long-term host has been finalized.
The successful candidate will:
- Take the lead on development and delivery of the Accelerator’s communications and advocacy strategy as a key measureable output
- Initiate the creation of an advocacy “campaign” to ensure awareness of the RWA its objectives – drawing on our work.
- Lead in publication materials and branding
- Managing internal comms, online and social media engagement
- Enable impactful advocacy
- Co-lead on strategic engagement with key institutions including national governments, multilateral banks, and UN bodies
- Co-ordinate relevant events, communications and policy developments with partner organisations in water and climate finance
- Support Partnerships
- Liaise regularly with key partners including Arup, Sustainable Markets Initiative, FCDO water team, CDP and others.

About you:
