The Role
As a Flyer Distributor you will play a crucial role in helping to raise awareness about our services and events within the Enfield community. You will be responsible for disseminating promotional materials such as flyers, brochures, and event announcements to various locations within the Enfield area.
- Distribute promotional materials provided by Age UK Enfield to designated locations across the Enfield area. This may include community centers, libraries, local businesses, healthcare facilities, and other relevant locations.

There are also potentially up to two away events each year to enable the Board to have strategic discussions outside of the formal board business and all Trustees are expected to attend.

We are looking for a dynamic individual that will provide a non-judgmental, non-directive, emotional and practical support to women living in the districts of Mansfield and Ashfield who have been impacted by domestic abuse.
NIDAS Nottinghamshire Independent Domestic Abuse Service is a specialist family support service that’s supports women and families that have been affected by Domestic Abuse. We have been working in Mansfield and Ashfield for over thirty years.
Main duties:
- Provide a safe, environment in which to provide support.
- Maintain accurate case files and records of all communication in line with safeguarding and data protection legislation
- Take a person centred approach to provide support to clients addressing their immediate and long term support needs
- Identify risk using the SafeLives DASH assessment toolkit and refer to the Multi Agency Risk Assessment Conference (MARAC) as appropriate.
- Work in a trauma informed way with members of the family.
- Provide emotional and practical support, drawing on strengths within their capacity to meet their potential.
- Safety planning and referrals to external agencies for support.
- Advocacy for families ensuring their wishes and feelings are heard, and support agencies understand the complexities and impact of domestic abuse
- Support the wider team during annual leave/sickness.
- Engage in regular case reviews with the wider team/management to work through complex cases and offer insights from experience to overcome challenges together.
- Be able manage own caseload and know and communicate limitations.
- To have continual high regard for the use and communication of client and agency data that complies with the requirements of the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR).
- To promote and support equality and empowerment within all areas of work.

What is a Divisional Treasurer?
There are SSAFA branches throughout the UK and overseas. These are divided into small local areas that we call divisions. Each one has a treasurer to look after the accounts and funds in that division. This is a key role involving financial administration.
Why do we need you?
We’ve been supporting the Armed Forces community since 1885. Our clients come from all backgrounds and age groups and may have served in WW2 or in a more recent conflict like the Falklands or Afghanistan.
Our branches support local volunteers to deliver services to veterans, serving personnel and their families. Some branches are divided into smaller divisions to ensure the best local service delivery. Each branch has a team of volunteer caseworkers, support volunteers, executive roles, and fundraisers.
One of the key ways we help clients is by tapping into various sources of funding on their behalf. Monitoring and reconciling this flow of funding in and out of SSAFA accounts is important to ensure clients receive the support when needed and we can account for all charitable funds in our care.
When would you be needed and where would you be based?
As part of your local branch, you might have access to an office, but many volunteers are based at home. This flexible role involves using our on-line financial management system and on-line bank accounts and so can be done when and where suits you best.
What would you be doing?
- Maintaining and reconciling local bank accounts and recording transactions
- Ensuring funds are available to caseworkers, to provide immediate grants where appropriate.
- Making and recording all authorised payments
- Preparing year end accounts
- Working with the divisional secretary, advise on a local fundraising plan to cover divisional running costs.
- Identifying and returning any surplus monies from grants as appropriate
- Providing reports to the local SSAFA branch and to SSAFA’s Central Office
- Maintaining accurate records on our on-line finance management system
- Being a positive ambassador for SSAFA remembering that anyone you meet could be a potential client, volunteer or fundraiser.
- Volunteering within the standards and values of SSAFA including observing our policies such as the Volunteering policy and data protection policy (these will be covered in your training and local induction.)
The remit of this role may change over the next 12-18 months depending on the outcome of a trial currently being undertaken.

What are we looking for?
- Friendly and approachable people with some experience of financial administration
- Good written and spoken English.
- Ability to be respectful and non-judgemental with volunteers, other agencies and SSAFA colleagues,
- Ability to send and receive emails – you will receive your own SSAFA email address,
- Willingness to use our on-line banking and on-line finance management system (this is covered in training)
- Reliable attitude: contact volunteers promptly, keep appointments etc.
- Ability to maintain confidentiality and keep information safely.
- Access to public transport or a car to travel to meetings etc.

It’s crucial to our work to have young people’s ideas and expertise in the organisation. We need the broadest range of perspective on our Board, and we want to be guided by a range of people who can contribute to the continued development of our work across all communities, and that includes young people. We are looking to recruit at least one person aged 18 to 25 to bring their voice to the table, to help us find the best ways forward for the future of opera, for the future of the company and most importantly, for future audiences and artists from all backgrounds.
We also want to support young people in their professional and personal development, and we will work with Young Trustees to ensure this is an opportunity for them to build their knowledge and experience. Young Trustees will receive mentoring from existing Trustees and training will be provided for any areas they feel less confident in.

Commitment: 15-20 hours per week, work can be done at times to suit you with occasional time bound interviews and team meetings scheduled to suit your schedule (corporate speak for: ‘we’ll ask when works for you first!’)

Job Description
We’re looking for an ambitious, visionary and motivated Managing Director to work directly alongside our CEO to help us rapidly grow Go Inspire International C.I.C.. This will be a very fast paced role with lots of variety and will involve:

Being a point of contact for our marketing and events staff

Ensuring all activities are inline with our top level goals and objectives, values and purpose

Working alongside the leadership team to develop and implement organisational goals and objectives in line with our values and purpose

Creating data collection systems and processes
-
Understanding data from our activities and collating and reporting this data to the leadership team and trustees board
Note: This role has been designed for a year to support in building and managing our systems and process but we would love to have you longer if it works for us both.
About you

This is a fast paced, think on your feet kind of job so if perfect if you have bucket loads of enthusiasm and energy and like to learn on the go.

You need to love people and be able to manage and motivate a team

You gotta be hyper organised and shit hot at time management

Any experience in developing and implementing organisational systems and processes is awesome.

Need to have a team player mindset for this role, a huge part of it is making sure everyone is excited, engaged and on the same page.

Women and Girls Network (WGN) is a pan-London organisation that supports women and girls affected by all forms of gendered-based violence. Our overall aim is to promote, preserve and restore the mental health and well-being of women and girls who have experienced, or are at risk of, gendered-based violence, whilst working towards a society free of gendered-based violence.
We do this by:
- Providing women-only holistic and seamless therapeutic services, which meet women and girls’ needs and contribute to total and sustainable recovery from the experiences of violence.
- Evidencing the impact of gendered-based violence and presenting this information in appropriate forums to affect social change in attitudes towards, and responses to, gendered-based violence.
- Developing good practice in the sector by providing training and guidance on specialist service provision and the development of culturally appropriate service delivery.
About the opportunities
WGN is now looking for additional committed women professionals to join our existing dynamic and dedicated Trustees, we are seeking number of trustees including treasurer. We are in particular encouraging Black African or Caribbean candidates to apply to align with the agenda of WGN.
Our ideal trustees:
- Are committed to supporting women and girls affected by gendered-based violence
- Have feminist/womanist and anti-racist values and principles
- Have a strong understanding of intersectionality
- Have the ability to think strategically and creatively about service delivery and development
- Have an understanding of the women’s / VAWG / voluntary sector
- Want to advance WGN’s aims and objectives
- Have well-developed leadership skills
- Have previous governance experience (desirable).
About you
The ideal candidates will also offer expertise, skills and experience in one of the following areas:
- Financial management
- Human resources management
- Strategic development
- Safeguarding
- Legal
- Policies and procedures related to WGN’s work.
Additional information
Trustees are required to attend six meetings a year. In addition, trustees are required to attend induction training and Away Days are usually held once a year. There may also be sub-committees that Trustees wish to join, and one Trustee member is invited to be on interview panels for any senior management recruitment. Trustees are also required to read documents and emails between meetings.
