We are currently seeking a highly motivated, confident individual with excellent organisational skills to take on maternity cover for the role of head of marketing, advertising and events.
Reporting to the executive director, you will be responsible for the sale of advertising space on our website, through email blasts to our mailing lists, via our weekly emails and within our quarterly print publication. You will also be responsible for the line management of event support, while managing our event programme which consists of up to 19 digital and in-person events per year. You will also be responsible for line management of the subscriptions manager, overseeing concurrent marketing projects, targeting key subscription areas, and ensuring a high level of renewals amongst our subscribers. Alongside this, there will be opportunities to represent Alliance at external events both in the UK and abroad.
The successful candidate will have strong, persuasive oral and written communication skills, enjoy working in a small team, and have excellent organisation and time-management. The candidate will be a willing participant in all APT discussions and play an active part in driving the organisation forward.

Main responsibilities
Marketing & sales
- Lead responsibility for the marketing strategy to grow the circulation of Alliance
- Direct line management of subscriptions manager to ensure the implementation of this strategy
- Indirect management of marketing support staff
- Setting and ensuring the delivery of organisational growth targets across all forms of readership
- Garnering quality feedback from existing audiences to ensure our products are meeting audience expectations

Advertising
- Creating and executing campaigns to increase the advertising revenue of Alliance
- Promoting advertising opportunities across print, digital, and online to all of our existing clients
- Building relationships with potential new advertisers and exploring new markets
- Maintaining relationships with all current advertisers
- Ensuring that all advertising material is provided by the client in time to meet our schedules
- Ensuring all invoices for advertising are raised, issued, and paid in a timely fashion

Events
- Primary responsibility for organising & promoting both in-person & digital Alliance events
- Co-ordinating with the editorial team to ensure a good standard of panellists and debate

- Primary responsibility for income generation via sponsorships and event services
- Securing external bookings for our event services and managing those events
- Management of freelance event support staff and external suppliers

- Responsible for reporting on three main pillars of the role to board of trustees and funders
- Attending sector events (both in the UK and internationally) to further the aims of APT
- Maintaining accurate details of projects and analysing the success of campaigns

Overall Purpose of the Head of Research
- To lead the delivery of the charity’s strategic research aims including managing and further developing Guts UK’s grants programme, managing our small research team, working with research partners and networks to raise awareness of our work and outcomes, further develop impact, and continue to develop and embed patient and public involvement (PPI) in our research.

We are looking for a new fundraiser to join our energetic team to raise major gifts for a range of posts, scholarships, and other priorities across the Humanities. Oxford is the world’s leading university for humanities teaching and research. When it opens, the Schwarzman Centre will bring together seven faculties from the division under one roof for the first time. The University’s scholarship in languages, literature, history, philosophy, religion & the arts – from the earliest civilisation to the present day – enriches our understanding of humankind, and informs how we engage with historic issues and contemporary concerns.
About the Role
This fundraiser will work closely with senior academics in the Humanities Division. The post will focus primarily on funding for posts, scholarships, and access and outreach in the academic faculties as well as securing support for the activities of the Cultural Programme and Schwarzman Centre for the Humanities. An interest and appreciation for the arts and humanities is essential.
To Be Successful You’ll Need:
- To be an experienced development professional with a track record of securing major gifts and the ability to secure gifts in the range of £100,000 to £500,000

Salary:

Magic Breakfast is a registered charity providing healthy breakfasts to children and young people in the UK who arrive at school too hungry to learn, and expert support to their schools. JOB PURPOSE
Magic Breakfast’s mission is to end child morning hunger in the UK now and for good. The Service Delivery team is responsible for ensuring the delivery of our breakfast provision. As Engagement Partner, you will work with relevant partners (schools, local authorities, parents, parent councils) to ensure that breakfast provision is optimized, encouraging reach and providing education on relevant topics.

About the role
The Prospect Development and Donor Insights Manager is a new key position within the Development Office that will lead on strategic, data-driven insights to shape our fundraising strategy and maximise the University’s fundraising potential as we embark on the University’s biggest ever fundraising campaign.
You will manage the overall process of prospect development, including moves management and prospect strategy to support our fundraising campaign. You will provide strategic, data-driven guidance to frontline fundraisers ensuring optimal tracking and engagement of major gift prospect, including individuals, trusts & foundations and corporates, throughout the donor lifecycle. In addition, you will develop and strengthen a sustainable prospect pipeline in support of our fundraising campaign and fundraising priorities of the University.
Who are we looking for?
We seek someone with at least three years’ experience of prospect research and prospect management, with strong analytical and critical thinking skills, with the ability to translate data into strategic recommendations. You will have exceptional stakeholder management skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively and strategically with individuals and teams at all levels and across functions. We need someone who has experience of writing profiles, prospect identification, media tracking and good understanding of the Data Protection Act. Experience of maintaining and developing a prospect tracking system on a fundraising database and experience of data analysis and data visualisation is also sought.

Responsibilities Include
Strategic Planning

Portfolio Management

Team Management
- To oversee the operation of the Philanthropy and Partnerships team and to have direct line management responsibility for a team of four Relationship Managers, to ensure they are engaged, delivering agreed strategies, and meeting agreed financial targets
- To oversee all relevant fundraising activities, including research and analysis of current and potential prospects, ensuring that activity is data protection compliant
- To ensure the team maintains accurate records of relationships with major donors on our database, and to ensure that due diligence is carried out where required
- To over see the management of a range of events for supporters and prospects
- To support the Head of Philanthropy and Partnerships with planning and strategy as required
- Represent the Philanthropy and Partnerships team at quarterly review meetings and other forums as appropriate
- Manage the department budget effectively to maximise the impact of MAF operations overseas.

The Resilient Water Accelerator (RWA), hosted by WaterAid, is global initiative that aims to:
- Address the climate impacts on water to strengthen resilience in vulnerable communities;
- Secure greater investment from public and private sources in water infrastructure and services;

To achieve this we will work with policy makers, experts, investors and communities to identify critical climate risks to water and shape a business case for priority projects. We will work to ensure these projects act as positive examples of a new approach to programme development in the water and climate sectors. As Communication and Advocacy Manager you will play a key role in delivering our global thought leadership objectives
About the Role:
As Communication and Advocacy Manager you will help to draw links between our work in country and the much needed action on international finance for climate resilience. You will be ready to engage strategically with influential governments and organisations to influence their policies and practices as they relate to water.
As a leader on communications you will be a critical part of the RWA’s global team — helping to link the different parts of the RWA together and co-ordinate with our partners around the world. You will ensure the team has a line of sight to the relevant policies and initiatives affecting the RWA’s work, and that there is clear, consistent and compelling messaging of the Accelerator through different communications channels. They will bring a fresh and inventive approach lead the communication of that thought leadership with key stakeholders. You will lead internal communications with WaterAid and the Steering Committee and work with colleagues across WaterAid’s network to build awareness of the Accelerator’s work. This will be vital to amplifying our messaging around global water security and climate adaptation. As this work is in its early stages, a flexible approach to the team’s work will be helpful, adjusting to changing priorities and progress on the ground.
The position will be hosted by WaterAid, which has been acting as the Accelerator’s interim host until an agreement with a long-term host has been finalized.
The successful candidate will:
- Take the lead on development and delivery of the Accelerator’s communications and advocacy strategy as a key measureable output
- Initiate the creation of an advocacy “campaign” to ensure awareness of the RWA its objectives – drawing on our work.
- Lead in publication materials and branding
- Managing internal comms, online and social media engagement
- Enable impactful advocacy
- Co-lead on strategic engagement with key institutions including national governments, multilateral banks, and UN bodies

Purpose of the job
This role is an exciting opportunity for an outstanding individual to join the UK Youth Fundraising team. UK Youth already works with a broad range of exciting corporate partners, including Coca-Cola Europacific Partners, KFC, Burger King and RSA Insurance. This role can be offered as a hybrid role (with approximately one day per week in our London office) or fully remote, with occasional visits to the office for meetings or staff days as necessary; the two salary ranges above reflect this. The 21 hours could be worked across 3-5 days per week.
