Through our 6 week course we help them to feel calm, confident, to have positive thoughts about themselves, to have higher self esteem and trust in others. We work with over 2000 children and young people across the UK every year and have reached over 14,000 over the past 14 years.

The role:
- Work in partnership with the business to deliver the strategy and creatively solve problems;
- Responsible for working with the business to prepare and deliver robust budgets, challenging at regular reviews if we are off target and forecasting as appropriate;
- Responsible for the finance and procurement business partnering service and support we deliver to our existing homes investment teams encompassing a mix of in-house delivery of repairs and maintenance, voids and capital investment plus external contractor delivery along with the overall strategic property planning service;
- Provide proactive and robust financial leadership for all financial issues for your business area, including partner relationships, operational plans, business cases, financial assumptions and financial modelling;
- Actively lead the collation of short to medium term (1 and 5 year) investment plans, interpreting the key drivers and risks to enable preparation of long term (5 and 30 year) business plans, so that we can achieve our business goals;
- Make sure that we are reporting management information that is timely, accurate and appropriate, ensuring any deviation from budget / plans can be explained and justified, and that any new issues and opportunities are appropriately raised and considered;

Essential criteria:
- Experience of reporting financial information, including explaining finance concepts to non-financial people;
- Previous or current experience working in the property or housing sector.

- Good systems experience, both of finance systems and operational systems, and be quick to pick up new ones;
- Qualified member of a recognised accounting body

As HR Business Partner, you will play a strategic role, acting as a partner to the senior leadership to enable us to deliver as effectively as possible to people with ME. Key Duties
People & Culture Strategy
- Work with the senior leadership to deliver the People and Culture and the Equity, Diversity and Inclusion Plans that enables the delivery of organisational goals
- Drive consistency of the implementation of the Plans
- Work with the senior leadership to review data, analyse trends, providing data-driven solutions/decisions to support cultural development. Use ongoing analysis to test the effectiveness of People and Culture interventions and processes within the organisation
- With senior leadership, manage talent and succession planning
Human Resource Management
- Provide first point of contact HR advice and support to colleagues and line managers, ensuring all instances are recorded appropriately
- Manage the compliant use of, and be first point of contact for, colleague queries on the HR IT System (currently BreatheHR)
- Support HR investigations and line managers with grievances, disciplinaries and other similar matters, recording meeting minutes and agreeing next steps.
- Liaise with the Federation of Small Businesses (FSB; provides insurance and employment legal advice) on complex HR cases that require external input, either on behalf of or alongside relevant line manager(s)
- Oversee all HR policies and procedures, being guided by relevant internal data and industry best practice, and ensuring they are regularly reviewed
- Complete all required administrative tasks for new starters and colleagues leaving the organisation
- Processing and managing of maternity, paternity, and adoption in line with policies and best practice
- Running of monthly HR reports, to include sickness auditing and dissemination of relevant data to CEO and line managers, if required
- Scope, plan and book/deliver appropriate training across the organisation and for individual employees where necessary
- Managing the recruitment lifecycle, which is to include advertising of vacancies, screening of applicants, interview diary management, referencing and document checks, onboarding coordination
- Manage and administer all changes to contractual terms and conditions with appropriate paperwork disseminated to relevant parties
- Oversee HR support for volunteers, including Trustees and Sub-Committee Lay Members
- Oversee the organisation ‘Wellbeing Weekdays’ programme (a monthly programme to support colleague contact and wellbeing)

About Us
The Upper Room (TUR) works with a wide range of financially and socially disadvantaged groups including homeless people, people with long-term mental health conditions, asylum-seekers, refugees and ex-offenders – helping them to improve their lives and become productive members of society. Central to our offering is our UR4Meals service, providing free, home-cooked food to people who cannot afford to provide for themselves. We are also very proud of our UR4Driving programme, which supports people recently out of prison with free driving lessons in exchange for community volunteering. Gaining a driving licence greatly enhances their future employability prospects and helps break the cycle of re-offending. Additionally, our UR4Jobs project focusses on both client wellbeing and breaking down the many barriers to employment faced by disadvantaged people every day.
The role
Is leading the charity through its next phases of development as it prepares itself for year on year increases in demand with a focus on delivering the charity’s future resilience plan (Project 12/25). The CEO is accountable for overall charity performance (financial, operational, governance, compliance), team (paid and volunteer) support and development. Additionally, there are a wide range of community and external partner relationships to manage and develop. Ultimately this role sets the tone for the charity, one of both compassion and ambition to improve the lives of the people who need us. This is primarily an on-site role, with occasional opportunity to work flexibly.
About You
You have a stable CV that demonstrates you have built and led successful teams and enabled growth and/or transformation for your organisation – ideally in an equivalent charity/non-profit environment. You can evidence strong team leadership and results across a wide range of business functions which will need to include income generation, managing budgets and business operations. This is a senior role, reporting to the Head of Communications, Fundraising and Advocacy. About you
We are looking for an exceptional self-starter with excellent verbal and written communication skills who will be required to present and research topics with high attention to details and accuracy. The role holder should be educated to degree level with experience in project and process administration and delivering pieces of work to time, budget and standards agreed. The programme is designed to support hospitals deliver optimum care covering the whole patient journey (diagnosis to end of life); positively influence clinical practice; celebrate success; identify areas for improvement; drive equity of care and outcomes; and support patient-centred decision making. The programme works in close partnership with hospitals to support them in their role to achieve best practice in their care and support of myeloma patients and their families.

We are looking for a Corporate Performance and Reporting Manager in our Clerk of the Parliament’s Office at the House of Lords. This is an exciting opportunity to use your strong analytical skills and flair for communicating and engaging a range of stakeholders, to drive progress against our strategic objectives and report on our performance.
This is a hybrid working opportunity where you will work on-site at Parliament 3 days per week, with 2 days per week working remotely. You’ll be accountable for –
- Acting as operational lead for the Administration’s approach to corporate performance management, including the implementing and reviewing of the House’s performance management framework.
- Building partnerships with Heads of Office, service leads and others across the House to embed, co-ordinate and continuously improve performance metrics and baseline performance.
- Providing a leading voice in the co-production of the quarterly performance report to the Management Board and Finance Committee.
- Embedding performance measuring and reporting approaches that meet the best functional standards, using a range of management data to provide accessible and actionable insights.
- Working with other colleagues across Parliament to help to ensure that other performance monitoring processes allow for comparison.
- Working with Parliamentary Digital Service, and the House of Commons to develop common practices for Corporate Performance Management across Parliament.

- Personal effectiveness with excellent organisational and time-management skills, with the ability to manage your own time and deal effectively with conflicting demands.
