Fundraising and Communications Manager
We have an exciting opportunity for a passionate advocate to join the charity developing and contributing to a comprehensive fundraising strategy, focusing on Trusts and Foundations.
This is a hybrid-working role offering flexible working hours.
Position: Fundraising and Communications Manager
Location: Chatham, Kent/hybrid (minimum 2 days per week in the office)
Hours: Full Time - 37.5 hours per week (flexible working available)
Salary: £33 -£35K depending on experience

The Role
Funding from Trusts and Foundations is critical to the sustainability of the organisation. You will play a pivotal role in ensuring sufficient funding for the sustainability of the charity and its core activities by maintaining and developing current relationships with funders as well as generating additional income to meet targets.
As Fundraising and Communications Manager, you will also be the lead for the communication strategy, and line manage the Communications Officer and enhance the charity’s visibility and engagement with donors and other audiences. The role will be weighted towards income generation.
About You
You will have experience within fundraising, communications or marketing with proven experience writing successful grant applications, meeting targets and managing relationships with funders.
You will have experience of
· Trust and foundation fundraising
· Strategic fundraising planning, including income forecasting, and performance monitoring.
· Developing content for various platforms (website, social media, newsletters).
· Managing workloads, including the ability to prioritise tasks, manage multiple deadlines, and work effectively under pressure.
You will have excellent communication skills with the ability to craft compelling and persuasive proposals and reports and the ability to produce high quality written materials tailored to different audiences.

About the Organisation
The Challenging Behaviour Foundation was set up in 1997 by Vivien Cooper OBE, the parent of a child with severe learning disabilities who displayed a range of challenging behaviours. At the time, there was no support for families like Viv’s and no adequate provision to support her son – other than almost three hundred miles away!
Crucially, families remain at the heart of the organisations work. Job Purpose
Support the Fundraising Manager in the successful delivery of fundraising activities in line with Bipolar Scotland’s ambitious strategy and business plan.
Summary
The Fundraising Officer will play an integral part in the success of our small but vibrant national charity by maximising income from Corporate and Community based stakeholders. Youth Action Wiltshire (YAW) is the youth arm of the award-winning charity Community First. The Project
Over the last few years, the Breck Foundation worked closely with Volunteer Police Cadet Units in Surrey and Tower Hamlets to train cadets as ‘Breck Ambassadors’, equipping them with the training needed to talk in schools to their peers about staying safe online and the key signs of grooming.
We are proud to take this successful project further having secured funding with the Office of Sussex Police & Crime Commissioner (OSPCC) to recruit and train up to 30 ‘Youth Ambassadors’ (for online safety) in schools across Sussex. The Youth Ambassadors will learn how to tell Breck’s story and empower young people with the tools they need to stay safe online. Working closely with schools to enable the students to become Online Safety Ambassadors for their school community, advocate for their peers and to be a voice of expertise and counsel. You will work with schools and community groups to generate impact through Breck’s story (on online grooming) and other important topics related to children’s online safety.
This flagship project for the OSPCC will launch in April 2025 (Coordinator starts in January 2025) and run for at least 12 months, with potential funding up to three years. We hope it will set a precedent for others to follow our lead and develop similar programmes for young people across the UK.

The coalition
Send My Friend to School is a UK civil society coalition of international development NGOs, teachers’ unions and charities.
It brings together young people, politicians, teachers, civil society and the media in joint campaigning to demand quality education for all children across the globe. Each year thousands of schools and young people take part in the campaign, teaching young people the power and importance of using their voices in chorus with others across the globe to create positive change.
Send My Friend to School is the UK coalition of the Global Campaign for Education movement which is present in over 90 countries around the world.
Location
This role will be employed by Send My Friend to School Steering Group member Results UK, on behalf of the Send My Friend to School coalition, and will be based in Results UK’s office near Waterloo. Hybrid working is in place whereby staff are required to work from the office at least 2 days a week.
Terms & Conditions
This is a full time (35 hours per week), permanent post, with a 3 month probation period. There is likely to be occasional evening and weekend work involved, for which time off in lieu will be received. Holidays are 25 days pro rata per year plus bank holidays. Line Management

We are currently seeking a Digital Marketing Lead as part of the Communications Team at Carers First. The Digital Marketing Lead will play a central role in enabling us to deliver our 2024-2027 strategy and provide support to unpaid carers. This will include:
· Raising the profile of Carers First, building our brand awareness and engagement levels to reach new carers and to raise awareness of the issues affecting carers.
· Building on how Carers First engages with carers and supports them in accessing timely and relevant information.
· Managing Carers First’s digital marketing activities using a variety of digital marketing tools
· Overseeing Carers First’s digital presence, focusing on promoting our digital offer to reach more carers
To be successful you will be a digital expert, with proven experience of developing and delivering exceptional digital work as part of an overall communications strategy. You will be data driven with a passion for implementing and analysing effective marketing campaigns.
This role is hybrid with the expectation that it will be mostly remote working with some travel to Carers First locations required.

About the Role
This role will play an active part in driving forward our exciting fundraising campaigns, events and community relationships. This involves a wide-range of tasks which will vary day by day, from helping at on-site events to the distribution of marketing materials, and from taking minutes to building good relationships with local supporters (including schools and universities, local groups and businesses, community champions and participants in challenge events).

The Centre for Computing History is an accredited museum and charity situated in Cambridge, with collections and learning at its heart. The museum's core purpose is to increase understanding of the history of computing by exploring its social, cultural and historical impact.

Role Summary
We're now seeking a talented, energetic and efficient Project Coordinator to oversee this exploratory project.
The Esmée Fairbairn Collections Fund, run by the Museums Association, aims to encourage participatory practice in museums, and this concept lies at the heart of this project. Participatory practice means involving visitors and communities in the creation and interpretation of museum exhibitions, programs, and events content – asking for stories about objects in the collection, rather than assuming we know what the most important stories are. This approach is inclusive, encourages visitors to feel ownership and helps museums discover untold stories about their collections.
We are looking for someone special to co-ordinate this process and exploit our unique platform to raise awareness of environmental issues and e-waste and to create change. The Project Co-ordinator will take ownership of the day-to-day operations of the Broken Earth Project, including working closely with all external and internal stakeholders, monitoring progress, and ensuring project milestones are met. This new fixed-term role is a critical part of the project and crucial to its success.

We are excited to be recruiting a Philanthropy Manager to join our Fundraising Team. This is a new role which will be instrumental in setting us up well to grow income from major donors over the coming years. We are looking for an experienced major donor fundraiser, who can bring their skills and expertise to take this strand of fundraising to the next level. The role is being recruited on a fixed term basis, with a possibility to convert it to a permanent post after 12 months, subject to performance.
The Philanthropy Manager will build relationships and secure funding from high-net-worth individuals, working closely with the Director of Philanthropy, CEO, and a newly established fundraising committee to develop this area of fundraising. This will involve developing new events and stewardship opportunities to create engaging experiences for prospective and existing supporters. The post will report into the Director of Philanthropy.
This role can be based at any of our four Brilliant Club offices, located in London, Birmingham, Leeds and Cardiff. We expect some travel will be required (mainly to London) for events and to attend in-person meetings.

Role Overview:
This is an exciting opportunity to play a pivotal role in our Fundraising and Lottery team. As the Lottery and Promotions Lead, you will be responsible for conceptualising, planning, and executing innovative Lottery and Promotions campaigns that drive engagement and sales across Lincolnshire. Your primary focus will be on increasing our income generation from Lottery and Promotions activities, adapting to the challenging economic climate.
You will work closely and collaboratively with the Head of Fundraising and Lottery to develop and implement a strategic approach to expanding our reach, reducing attrition rates, increasing income and enhancing brand awareness.
Key Responsibilities:
- Champion and promote Lottery and Promotions products within the organisation and throughout our Lincolnshire community and beyond to support the Charity’s Trust-wide Organisational and Income Generation Strategies for 2024-2029 in order to drive growth.
- Identify and seize business development opportunities to promote the Hospice Lottery across Lincolnshire.
- Increase sales of Lottery and Promotions products, including lottery memberships and raffles.
- Understand supporter motivations and tailor Lottery and Promotions activities to meet their needs.
- Manage an income target of circa £700, 000 across Lottery and Promotions products.
- You will be the primary contact for Lottery and Promotions advice, guidance, and support to ensure that activity is delivered to the highest standard, and levels of confidentiality and is compliant with Gambling and Charity legislation, including the Gambling Act 2005, GDPR, Fundraising Code of Practice and Gambling Commission

Qualifications and Experience:
