About the role

The Head of Programmes leads the design, implementation, and evaluation of all Water, Sanitation, and Hygiene (WASH) projects within Just a Drop. This senior leadership role requires a visionary leader with strategic thinking, programme management expertise, and a deep commitment to improving WASH services in underserved communities. The ideal candidate will ensure that all programs are aligned with the organisation's mission, are sustainable, and have measurable impacts. The role is supported by a team of 3 staff and 11 volunteers with significant experience: hydrogeologists, engineers and WASH experts who give technical advice, and help with monitoring and partnership building.

Ataxia UK is looking for a skilled and dedicated Specialist Ataxia Nurse for our new community-based nursing service, focused on supporting individuals with ataxia in the South West of England. The role is a significant development in expanding access to expert and joined-up ataxia care for the ataxia community, particularly in regions currently underserved by neurologists with expertise in the ataxias. 

As a Specialist Ataxia Nurse, you will provide personalised, face-to-face, and remote support to patients, assisting them in navigating the NHS and social care systems. Your responsibilities will include supporting patients during medical appointments, coordinating essential therapies such as physiotherapy, speech therapy, and occupational therapy, and building strong relationships with healthcare professionals to enhance understanding and treatment of ataxia. Additionally, you will contribute to the development of resources and information for the ataxia community. 

We are looking for an experienced nurse with a background in neurology or chronic disease management and a strong commitment to patient advocacy. The ideal candidate will be a clear communicator, capable of working independently while collaborating effectively with multidisciplinary teams. The Role

About the role

We have an exciting opportunity for someone to join our team to work in Cornwall to promote and enable - walking, wheeling, cycling, and public transport as the sustainable way of travelling to schools, workplaces, and for journeys in the local community.

We’re recruiting for a Policy, Public Affairs and Campaigns Manager to join our team in Northern Ireland.

We’re looking for an enthusiastic individual with experience in shaping policy and the ability to communicate the position of the MS Society in Northern Ireland and to develop its profile to a wide range of audiences.

You’ll also act as a spokesperson for the MS Society in Northern Ireland and play an important role in developing our strategic approach to supporting people affected by MS. Helping us to ensure that our priorities align with the needs and aspirations of the MS community.

We’re looking for the successful candidate to be able to demonstrate that they understand the challenges that people with MS face. You’ll be mobilising the MS Community in Northern Ireland to make a powerful case for continued improvement in the treatment, care and support of people living with MS.

You’ll be enthusiastic and passionate about the work we do, forge strong partnerships with key stakeholders and represent the MS Society at key meetings and events in Northern Ireland.

You will also develop and execute an annual internal audit plan, ensuring compliance with recognised auditing standards. Your role involves coordinating with various CARE entities and overseeing specialist audits in areas like cybersecurity and GDPR. International travel will be required to support CARE International UK funded programmes.

We are seeking an Overnight/Weeked Project Worker to join our team. In this crucial role, you will ensure our main site is a safe and welcoming environment and provide support to residents during evenings and weekends.

Role Outline

This new role for Citizens Advice Bucks provides a great opportunity for someone to join our supportive fundraising team at an exciting time when we look to expand the way in which we engage our local community and fundraise. The role will work with colleagues across the charity including our Communications team. will play a key role in raising awareness of Citizens Advice Bucks in the County, engaging with existing and new supporters/partners through a variety of community and fundraising events.

Helping the fundraising team attract new supporters, take care of existing ones, managing our community events, challenge events, individual and regular giving and small grants income streams and explore new fundraising opportunities.

Working with our Comms team to design exciting and relevant materials and social media content to promote community events and fundraising opportunities.
