The purpose of the post is to work with a wide range of partners and volunteers to build active, more connected and resilient communities within the city of Salford. This includes recruiting, training and supporting volunteers and VCSE organisations to engage in civil contingencies and humanitarian responses within the city, and more broadly supporting the development of our volunteering work across multiple services.
Salford CVS delivers a range of projects and services that build resilient communities and encourage local people to be active citizens.
The postholder will primarily work on our Volunteering and Emergency Response activity, including the development and delivery of Salford CVS’s own volunteering programmes. We anticipate that, while it will fluctuate throughout the year, the postholder will spend roughly half their time on Emergency Response related work, and half their time on volunteering related work (although both areas overlap).

What will your typical day involve?
You will collaborate with Jewish communities and synagogues, orchestrating and overseeing community events, and managing related clerical tasks. You will also be responsible for liaising with external agencies and assisting in the production of departmental reports.
Your day-to-day responsibilities will include contributing to educational and research projects, delivering exceptional customer service, and enhancing departmental systems and processes. Who are we looking for?
We are seeking someone with A-Levels or equivalent qualifications and a genuine interest in improving older people’s lives. You should have excellent, caring communication skills and a good understanding of Jewish culture. Strong literacy and numeracy skills are required for creating written materials and handling data. Proficiency in office procedures and IT skills (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and video calls) is essential. Experience with database management is a plus, and you should be able to work flexibly and independently.
Experience in healthcare or education settings is also desired. Prior experience in a similar role, along with project management skills, is advantageous, especially in supporting service developments from initial stages to full implementation.

Job Summary
The National Distribution Centre (NDC) Manager role is key in ensuring a resilient supply chain for St John Ambulance. Responsible for the implementation and management of the systems, process and people working within the NDC warehouse. The NDC manager is accountable for ensuring that stock is received, stored, managed, and dispatched appropriately including quality control checks as required. The NDC warehouse manager is responsible for ensuring that all policies and procedures are complied with, and all required training is completed by the personnel working within the NDC. The Role
As Area Manager, you'll lead your dispersed team through in-person support visits, 1:1s, phone chats, team and individual communications, and virtual and in-person meetings.
During support visits, you'll ensure Fundraisers uphold the standards, code of conduct, values and brand through their communication and display. You'll do at least one monthly recruiting shift with each team member, providing valuable feedback to Fundraisers and follow up individual action plans for all team members. About this role:
This role is a remote role (must be in England or Wales) within a supportive and friendly team. As the Fundraising Officer for Community and Events you will:
- Support the delivery of a successful fundraising plan that aligns with Victim Support's vision, mission and values.
- Implement and support impactful activities associated with our Community, Fundraising Events and Individual Giving income streams.
- Develop, advertise and recruit fundraisers into a calendar of third-party events.

The main purpose of this role is to oversee the design, development and delivery of CSE’s grant making to community organisations and to ensure that good practices are applied across our grant making activities. The post holder will be responsible for overseeing CSE’s grant making schemes through a combination of direct scheme management and by supporting schemes managed by other CSE staff (for example, by providing templates, guidance, quality checks, advice and relationship management).
Pay and conditions

Specific responsibilities
An applicant appointed to the role will be expected to:
- Designing and developing high-quality grant giving schemes for a range of stakeholders (e.g. community anchor organisations, voluntary community groups, individuals and larger organisations), that enable the realisation of CSE project and programme objectives.
- Make outbound calls to clients when required, such as booking home visits, and keeping client records up to date.
- Developing and implementing a clear set of practices, and making sure they are understood and adhered to, in order to identify, mitigate and monitor potential risks associated with our grant giving projects.
- Maintaining tailoring and adapting our standard documentation (for example, grant agreement template; application form; eligibility criteria; payment form) to different grant schemes, ensuring they meet the individual needs of each scheme and remain as accessible as possible.
- Ensuring efficient processes are in place for evidencing, instructing, and monitoring grant payments, administering payment processes (such as raising and/or checking grant payment requests with our finance team) and that you handle any personal data appropriately.
- Ensuring that high-quality and proportionate project management is in place across our portfolio of grant giving projects, that funders receive the updates and information they need, and grantees are well supported and able to deliver to their objectives efficiently.
- Support project teams with managing relationships directly with grant recipients, including by maintaining strong communications and acting as the main point of contact with CSE; collecting and collating monitoring data; celebrating successes; addressing concerns (for example with review meetings or action plans); escalating issues as appropriate.
- Facilitating learning, networking, and sharing between grantees, ensuring that effective monitoring, evaluation and learning practices are embedded within existing grant-making projects.
- Using learning and feedback to inform how CSE designs future grant programmes and ensure learning is shared effectively with funders with the aim of shaping the broader grant making sector.
- Staying up to date with developments in the grant making sector (including keeping abreast of legal obligations and Equity, Diversity and Inclusion practices), learning from others and continually improving and developing our systems and processes.

About the role
The Regional Supply Chain Operations Manager (RSCOM)2 is part of the Programme Supply Chain (PSC) team. This role supports programme teams and Country Offices (COs) in supply chain management and compliance with Good Distribution Practice (GDP) standards.
The RSCOM 2 WARO position is field-based and works with other regional roles to provide support to the Nigeria, Sierra Leone, Ghana, and Liberia COs. This includes helping with planning, procurement, logistics, and custom clearance, ensuring adherence to PSC, Quality Management System (QMS), and GDP operating standards.
The goal is to build the capacity of COs in procurement and supply chain activities, ensuring Sightsavers’ programmes and COs are well-resourced and risks to the organization’s reputation are managed.
Principal Accountabilities
- Understand Sightsavers’ operating models and PSC requirements, focusing on planning, GDP standards, and best practices across WARO COs.
- Collaborate with the Controller PSC and other RSCOMs to support WARO COs and programme teams in planning, procurement, and supply chain management.

Our team provide a vital service available to older people and anyone seeking advice to support an older person in need. Our team of trained Advisors are dedicated to providing accurate, impartial and comprehensive information and advice to help support those in later life.
Many older people are concerned about the cost of rising energy bills, poor housing, accessibility to health and social care services. This is where our Information and Advice Advisers play a vital role in raising awareness and empowering older people to access the support they need, and to understand their statutory rights. Due to the growing demand of this fantastic service, we are recruiting for Information and Advice Advisors to join this friendly and supportive team.

The successful post holder will have excellent communications skills with the ability to provide accurate, often complex information in a clear and empathic way, offering advice over the phone and by email.
In this role you will receive several weeks of extensive specialist training based on the current legislation relevant to older people's rights and welfare, enabling you to offer an in-depth advice service to phone and email enquirers from across England. You will help them to understand and implement their legislative rights in areas such as community care, housing, income and benefits and many other issues related to later life.
This role offers hybrid working between home and either our Blackpool office, surrounded by excellent amenities or our Ashburton office, situated on the edge of the beautiful Dartmoor National Park. Our team work from the office at least 1 day a week, but that can be more if you prefer. You will need to live within an easily commutable distance of the office either by car or public transport, we suggest up to an hour's commute. During the probation and training period you will be required to come into the office at least 2 days a week.
Must haves:
* Excellent active listening
* Excellent oral and written communication skills
* Proficient in the use of IT e.g., Microsoft Office applications including Word, Excel, Teams, and SharePoint
* Previous experience of using multiple IT systems including CRM and other applications at the same time
* Ability to handle and present clearly and concisely large amounts of subject knowledge, often of a complex nature, both orally and in writing
* Accurate and attentive to detail
* Calm, empathic, compassionate
* Committed to providing a high-quality service
* Committed to a team working approach.
Great to haves:
* Experience of providing information and advice on the telephone or face to face
* Experience of working with older peoples' issues
* Experience of working with social care/benefits
* An academic qualification at degree level.
