Fundraising Administration Executive

This is a newly created and pivotal role in The Aspinall Foundation’s small fundraising team. The Fundraising Administration Executive will be responsible for the delivery and implementation of the charity’s key adoption fundraising programme and supporting the effective running of the Department as a whole.

The Fundraising Administration Executive will administer The Aspinall Foundation supporter database (Donorfy) including maintaining accurate contact details and contact preferences, in line with GDPR consent, and gift aid eligibility. You will prepare and collect direct debit payments, oversee the import and administration of all new regular givers, accurately record all income, manage supporter communication, administer digital and third-party adoption platforms, and provide ad hoc support with project administration or event facilitation.

You will have a proven track record and passion for delivering outstanding customer service, with excellent communication skills and a high level of attention to detail. You will have prior experience using a CRM database, alongside excellent IT skills including the use of MS office applications. Contract details:

Purpose of the job 

The Head of Policy & Public Affairs is responsible for leading UK Youth’s influencing work with Westminster, devolved administrations, and local government. They will lead our advocacy for ambitious and actionable policies that will help unlock youth work for all young people. They will ensure that our policy recommendations are informed by the strongest available evidence, meaningful youth involvement, and the expertise of youth workers. This is an exciting opportunity for an enthusiastic and innovative psychologist to join our warm and friendly team at our Dose of Nature hub in Kew, London. Dose of Nature is in an exciting phase as we continue to receive funding to expand our reach, particularly for young people aged 16 – 25, we are seeking a psychologist with passion for the natural world to support us with the expansion of our young people’s programme, as well as support with our main programme for adults.There is great potential for the psychologist to lead on areas in which we seek to develop and expand, and the post-holder would be closely supported by the psychology team, as well as the wider team, to do so.

Dose of Nature is a mental health charity whose objective is to improve the mental health and wellbeing of individuals through increased engagement with the natural world. Our work is rooted in a wealth of scientific evidence that demonstrates the physiological and psychological benefits of spending time in nature.We deliver ‘nature prescriptions’ to people referred by their GP with a wide range of mental health issues, including depression, anxiety, trauma, and addiction. Our Dose of Nature Prescription is overseen by psychologists and is a genuine alternative to both medication and more traditional psychological interventions. Through a combination of education, first-hand experience, and practical and motivational support, we aim to encourage a greater connection with nature, and inspire lifestyle changes that will have a significant and lasting impact on mental wellbeing.Dose of Nature is a fun, supportive and lively organisation that encourages creativity and independence, as well as a strong sense of working together as a team. 

The nature of the role requires occasional evenings and weekends to cover volunteer training evenings and social events as necessitated by the needs of the charity.

COMMUNITY DEVELOPMENT WORKER (ISLE OF SHEPPEY)

HOURS: 18 hours per week (0.45 FTE)

24 MONTH FIXED TERM CONTRACT

SALARY:  £11,732 per annum pro-rata (£26,072 for 1FTE)

We have an exciting opportunity for an experienced Community Development Worker to work as part of our Oasis Hub on the Isle of Sheppey, to engage and work with the community by helping them to access Hub activities, and the social supermarket project.

Key responsibilities will be:

1. To deliver the Sheppey Support Bus project and ensure its day-to-day operational tasks are fulfilled.
2. To liaise with our community partners including supermarkets, Fairshare etc to support and provide for Oasis activities, including the Sheppey Support Bus.
3. To monitor and evaluate activities using monitoring tools available to the team.
4. To develop other opportunities that will enhance our offer to the local community.

The successful post holder must have:

• A relevant professional qualification in Community Work or able to demonstrate qualification by experience.
• Successful experience of working with complex communities.
• The ability to deal with private information and sensitive issues with a calm and confident approach in difficult situations.
• Ability to function in diverse settings and with a wide range of professional agencies.
• Self-motivation, resilience, excellent organisational/administrative and inter-personal skills are essential for this role.
