We're looking for an enthusiastic Learning & Development Advisor to join our team and drive impactful training initiatives. Salary: £35,000 to £40,000 per annum, non-negotiable
We also offer 30 days annual leave plus 4 paid closure days, 10% pension contributions, enhanced maternity/parental leave, and flexible working from day one plus much more.
Location: Hybrid, Slough. The team typically work 1 day a week (Wednesday) in the office.
Hours: This role is available full-time (35 hours) or part-time 80%. We offer other flexible working options such as compressed hours too available from day one. Happy to discuss this with you.

JOB DESCRIPTION
As the L&D Advisor, you’ll support our organisational goals by designing, implementing, and evaluating training and engagement programmes that enhance the skills and knowledge of our workforce. Working under the direction of the Head of HR, this role focuses on meeting business needs through targeted learning interventions and fostering a culture of continuous professional development (CPD). Additionally, you will ensure effective onboarding practices, coordinate activities that promote an inclusive culture, oversee compliance training, and support our early careers programme.

- Experience in coordinating, designing, delivering, and evaluating high-quality and engaging online and blended training programmes.
- Excellent facilitation skills, with experience of delivering workshops in both virtual and in-person environments.

- Consistently organises tasks effectively.
- Excels in communicating and building relationships with team members and stakeholders.
- Ability to quickly understand new information and concepts and effectively translate them into tailored learning materials and resources.

Our expert team of canine behaviourists provide behavioural support and advice to teams within Battersea, members of the public, and the rescue organisations we work with around the world. The team design and help implement behaviour modification and training plans for dogs whilst coaching members of the canine care groups through the practical day-to-day steps. They also assist with behavioural and welfare assessments of animals who come into our centres and are on hand to help manage and provide further support with dogs with more complex behavioural needs. The team provide support to dogs during their stay at Battersea, and are also available for continued advice after rehoming.
We are now looking to recruit a Canine Behaviour and Training Advisor for our team in Old Windsor. Within this role, you will work with our operational teams in the assessment and welfare of the dogs in our care and in the provision of behavioural training and advice for staff, volunteers, customers and external organisations. You will be working as part of a care group to create behaviour modification plans, support with handling difficult dogs and make recommendations, along with the individual care group, for individual dog outcomes.

COMMUNITY DEVELOPMENT WORKER (ISLE OF SHEPPEY)
HOURS: 18 hours per week (0.45 FTE)
24 MONTH FIXED TERM CONTRACT

We have an exciting opportunity for an experienced Community Development Worker to work as part of our Oasis Hub on the Isle of Sheppey, to engage and work with the community by helping them to access Hub activities, and the social supermarket project.
Key responsibilities will be:
- To deliver the Sheppey Support Bus project and ensure its day-to-day operational tasks are fulfilled.
- To liaise with our community partners including supermarkets, Fairshare etc to support and provide for Oasis activities, including the Sheppey Support Bus.
- To monitor and evaluate activities using monitoring tools available to the team.
- To develop other opportunities that will enhance our offer to the local community.
The successful post holder must have:
- A relevant professional qualification in Community Work or able to demonstrate qualification by experience.
- Successful experience of working with complex communities.
- The ability to deal with private information and sensitive issues with a calm and confident approach in difficult situations.
- Ability to function in diverse settings and with a wide range of professional agencies.
- Self-motivation, resilience, excellent organisational/administrative and inter-personal skills are essential for this role.
