Overall purpose
The Head of Corporate Partnerships is a key leadership role within the Income and Engagement Directorate. Breaking Barriers’ relationship with corporate partners is the USP upon which our growth and success as an organisation has been built. The Head of Corporate Partnerships has accountability for generating income, impact and influence from the private sector, and for leading a high-performing team to achieve ambitious growth and scale for refugees around the UK.
As Breaking Barriers has grown from a start-up organisation to a now 60-strong team raising c. £4m and supporting more than 1,200 refugees annually, our corporate partnerships have expanded beyond our original London base to be nationwide partnerships with a wide range of businesses and employers. Our corporate partners have been crucial in enabling our growth and will be crucial to delivering upon the ambition of our 2030 goals. The Head of Corporate Partnerships is an essential role that will make this ambition a reality.
You will lead a team to deliver outstanding partnerships management of a range of strategic and multi-faceted relationships with a portfolio of c.50 businesses alongside leading strategy for business development. Leading by example you will own a number of our key relationships to drive growth, whilst bringing your experience to bear to coach your team and ensure structures and processes are in place to enable high performance.
You will be:
- a creative and strategic thinker who doesn’t feel bound by traditional approaches to charity / corporate relationships,
- a keen collaborator, working closely with colleagues in our Services directorate to deliver high impact employability programmes for our refugee clients, and with the Head of Philanthropy and Head of Public Engagement to identify and drive cross-fundraising opportunities,
- an outstanding communicator, comfortable and confident in your ability to engage a wide range of stakeholders across the worlds of CSR, DEI and employability, and across the private, public, and third sectors representing Breaking Barriers at a senior level.
The Head of Corporate Partnerships will be part of Breaking Barriers’ Joint Leadership Team and will have overall strategic and budget responsibility for Corporate Partnerships. They will be a visible leader within the Income and Engagement Directorate and across the organisation, and will contribute to a culture of creativity, growth, innovation and entrepreneurialism that will drive us to achieve our 2030 goals.

The Charity
The Youth Adventure Trust is a youth development charity working with vulnerable young people aged 11 to 16 years old from Somerset, Wiltshire and Swindon. Our outdoor activity based YAT Adventure Programme enables young people to challenge themselves, experience success, learn to go beyond their own expectations and grow in confidence. Through a series of residential camps and day activities they are able to build resilience, self esteem and develop social and life skills. The YAT Resilience Programme works to the same outcomes through a year long programme of monthly activities, home-based challenges and reflective practice. Our Mentoring Programme works with those young people in need of some additional individualised support at the end of our other programmes. The Trust’s Bursary Programme is open to all those young people who have completed an initial programme, in order to assist their next steps into further activities. Our aim is to make a lasting improvement to the lives of vulnerable young people. All our services are provided completely free of charge to the young people who are nominated by schools and other youth organisations to take part.
The Role
We are looking for a dynamic, motivated and inspiring individual to oversee and lead our new YAT Resilience Programme. Following a successful pilot in Wiltshire in 2023, we are now launching the programme in Somerset, a new geographical location for the Youth Adventure Trust. This is an exciting opportunity to be at the forefront of YAT’s growth, leading our first move outside of Wiltshire and Swindon. There is plenty of scope to develop this new programme, ensuring it meets its objectives and gives the best possible opportunities to the vulnerable young people who are referred to build their resilience and therefore improve their future lives.
The Resilience Programme Lead will be responsible for;

developing the content of the Resilience Programme including identifying, arranging and booking activities and other opportunities; and developing complementary materials such as reflective journals, take home challenges, online support and session plans for individual support.

delivering the Resilience Programme to groups of young people, ensuring the highest standards of safety, wellbeing and engagement, acting as the key point of contact for them and their parents/carers throughout, and ensuring they get the maximum benefit from the opportunity.

the continued review and development of the programme content, experience and learning opportunities to ensure maximum outcomes and that programme objectives are fulfilled. You will seek the views and feedback of young people, and include them as well as other stakeholders in its development. Having a high quality programme that meets its aims is of the utmost importance to YAT and this will require a reflective, insightful and creative leader.

The Candidate

Overall purpose
The Philanthropy Manager will manage and steward a portfolio of funders and donors – across trusts and foundations, statutory sources and major donors – to secure annual and multi-year gifts in support of Breaking Barriers’ vision. As well as managing relationships with our existing donors there will be a focus on creating new relationships through proactive prospecting and developing a long-term strategic approach to stewardship and relationship development.
You will be an ambitious, enthusiastic, energetic, and autonomous fundraiser with a demonstrable passion for supporting people from a refugee background. You will have a strong track record of high-value relationship management and fundraising, ideally specialising in Trusts, Statutory, Major Donor fundraising or a related area. We are looking for someone who can successfully secure and steward gifts of 5 figures and above – so evidence of stewarding high-value relationships and high-quality written skills are key. You will collaborate with additional fundraisers across Trusts, Statutory, Corporate and Major Gifts to coordinate approaches and maximise opportunities across all functions.
We welcome applicants with relevant transferable skills from other sectors and other areas of fundraising but a strong knowledge of the fundamentals of grant fundraising is essential. We are looking for a passionate individual who can get people excited about the work we do and who wants to make a difference in the lives of individuals from a refugee background. Reporting to the Regional Director, the Programme Manager will support the establishment and management of new and existing emergency and protracted ShelterBox programmes. Aligning with wider regional strategy, the Programme Manager will create and implement a longer-term strategic vision and direction for continuing support within their designated area of responsibility. They will also lead on strategic humanitarian relationships within this area to help maximise ShelterBox’s programme impact and influence.
This role will also work closely with the Programme Quality team, to continue to measure the quality and impact of our work. The Programme Manager will also support a programme funding strategy for their designated area of responsibility, working closely with the Programme Funding team in developing sustainable programmatic funding opportunities.
The role is expected to have a strong focus on Ethiopia and Burkina Faso, with other countries to be determined dependant on both existing portfolio and new emergencies. Regular travel is expected and we expect the successful candidate to be willing and able to undertake this travel.
The role will also encompass high-level relationship building and advocacy with partner organisations to consolidate the reputation and position of ShelterBox within the humanitarian sector.
French language is not an essential skill for this role, but French speaking candidates of level C1 or above will be favourably considered.

Duties will include but not be limited to:
· Establish and manage programmes within assigned area in line with the organisational and regional strategy. Working closely with the Regional Director to ensure quality, timely, impactful, and on-budget programme/project implementation.

· Provide the first point of contact for deployed teams and disaster monitoring on a 24/7 routine and emergency basis as part of a roster.
· Prioritise ‘do no harm’ principles. Ensure those who encounter ShelterBox as a result of our activities are safeguarded from deliberate or inadvertent actions and failings which place them at risk of abuse, sexual exploitation, injury, and any other harm.
· Maintain exacting standards in all aspects of ShelterBox’s activities so that the reputation of the organisation is protected in the view of donors, partners and the people we support.

The role
The Senior Network Fundraising Manager is a new and vital role, created to maximise income generation across FareShare’s national team and 18 Network Partners. This role is integral to driving collaboration and establishing a strategic approach to fundraising across multiple sites.
FareShare has a vibrant national fundraising department that has consistently grown the organisation’s new and existing income streams in recent years. As we have grown, so have our regional delivery partners, who are independent charities, each investing in their own fundraising to sustain larger operations. The Senior Network Fundraising Manager will join FareShare’s Fundraising Leadership Team to enhance these efforts through strategic collaboration and clearly defined ways of working to maximise opportunities across our income streams.
Central to this role is the development and co-design of a strategic plan for fundraising across FareShare and our Network Partners. The role of the Chaplain at Lambeth Palace is to support the ministry to which God has called the Archbishop. This involves a wide variety of tasks, much of it behind the scenes. Core Responsibilities
- Being aware and helping to deliver the Chaplain's objectives and views, and communicating these to external and internal parties, as well as maintaining discretion and confidentiality where necessary.
- Managing and prioritising communications with the Chaplain, whether by phone, e-mail, letter or in person, enabling him/her to achieve their objectives while ensuring timely responses.
- Dealing with the Chaplain's correspondence, including drafting replies to letters and emails, and where appropriate replying on their behalf. In addition to drafting briefs for the Archbishop's official engagements for which the Chaplain carries responsibility.
- Managing the Chaplain's diary, including booking rooms and offering hospitality where appropriate, and making travel arrangements.
- Organising the Chaplain's expenses and drafting budgets for the team.
- Receiving and greeting visitors, as required, on behalf of both the Chaplain and the Archbishop.

Eccles, Salford
The purpose of the post is to work with a wide range of partners and volunteers to build active, more connected and resilient communities within the city of Salford. This includes recruiting, training and supporting volunteers and VCSE organisations to engage in civil contingencies and humanitarian responses within the city, and more broadly supporting the development of our volunteering work across multiple services.
Salford CVS delivers a range of projects and services that build resilient communities and encourage local people to be active citizens.
The postholder will primarily work on our Volunteering and Emergency Response activity, including the development and delivery of Salford CVS’s own volunteering programmes. We anticipate that, while it will fluctuate throughout the year, the postholder will spend roughly half their time on Emergency Response related work, and half their time on volunteering related work (although both areas overlap).

We are looking for a Giggle Doctor Programme Administrator to join our busy programme team, to support the day-to-day operations of our Giggle Doctor programme for hospitals.
This is a part-time, one-year contract to support the running of the Giggle Doctor programme while a member of the team is on maternity leave. We are flexible as to which days are worked, providing that the post-holder has a fixed working pattern over a minimum of 3 days per week. This post requires work from the office as well as some work from home. We will provide training to the successful candidate on how to fulfil the key tasks of the role.

From Dr Boogie Woogie to Dr Teapot, our Giggle Doctors wear their very own ‘doctor coats’, which represent their character, and spend time one to one with the children. Giggle Doctors create opportunities for children to play and interact through a range of musical and fun activities. Sometimes they will make balloon animals and blow bubbles, and at other times they will sing a funny song or simply listen and talk to a child one to one.
The play is always child – led, with each interaction being unique to the child and their needs. A Giggle Doctor visit isn’t just about one magical moment, it can have a significant and lasting impact on a child’s well-being. With each visit, the aim is to reduce stress and anxiety, increase opportunities for play, and improve children’s experience of hospitals.

Job Description
Key Tasks and Responsibilities
Administration
· Act as first point of call for artists regarding their visits to hospitals, overseeing sickness, cover and changes to their schedules
· Support artists with hospital administration and contracts
· Keep artists updated with changes in Theodora Children’s Charity’s policies
· Process changes to the Giggle Doctor schedule on our internal systems
· Liaise with hospitals and keep them up to date with information about their programme of Giggle Doctor visits
· Set up meetings with hospitals, artists and Theodora Foundation colleagues as required
· Book long-distance travel and hotels for artists for hospital visits and training events when required
· Support the Finance Manager and Giggle Doctor Programme Manager with collecting and filing timesheets, invoices and receipts for payment
Training and Events
· Support the Giggle Doctor Programme Manager with events, including booking rooms, resources and catering
· Attend training events for Giggle Doctors, setting up and packing down as needed
Impact and Programme Monitoring
· Support the Giggle Doctor Programme Manager with monitoring Trainee and Junior Giggle Doctor’s progress and keeping records of their observation notes
· Support the Giggle Doctor Programme Manager with data capture and record keeping
· Take minutes and record actions during Programme Team meetings, Theodora Foundation meetings and office team meetings from time to time
- Utilise the charity’s CRM database to keep all records up to date and effectively progress supporter development.
HR and Safeguarding
· Act as Deputy Safeguarding Lead and follow safeguarding processes for recording safeguarding incidents in the Designated Safeguarding Lead’s absence.
- Run DBS checks for artists when required using the external Ucheck platform
Other
- Represent the charity at external functions and conferences.
- Undertake any other duties reasonably requested from Programme Manager from time to time
