Praxis has recently significantly scaled up its campaigns and communications work. We are looking for a new Stories and Media Coordinator to join our Fundraising and Communications team, to help ensure that people with lived experience of the immigration system are the driving force of our dynamic communications work, whilst also building the organisation’s profile and amplifying our systems-change work.
You will play an integral role in the Fundraising and Communications team in an ambitious organisation.
We are looking for the below skills and experience:
· Strong experience and understanding of working with experts by experience in communications, media and storytelling work, including excellent understanding of safeguarding and risk management;

Main purpose of the role:
The Deputy Service Coordinator splits their time between the office organising rotas, liaising with families, social services, and health care professionals, and providing a minimum of 20 hours a week of direct support, as well as one weekend a month on the rota, depending on the needs of the service.
The role requires the postholder to take responsibility for being on call between the leadership team. There is an additional payment for on-call duty.

Purpose of the job

Location: Home-based in South-West England. This will cover anywhere from Watford to the South-West including Bristol, Bath, Southampton, Portsmouth, Poole, Bournemouth and Cornwall.

Working hours: We expect to offer a minimum of 8 shifts per year, but the average is between 8 and 48 shifts dependent on availability and willingness to travel. Hours will be arranged by the Cancer Awareness in the Workplace Team (CAW) on an ad hoc basis. Typical working days vary and may occasionally include weekends, evening, or night work from time to time.

We are looking for a Bank Nurse to join our Cancer Awareness in the Workplace (CAW) team. You'll join a team of Bank Nurses that provides vital contingency cover where needed to Cancer Research UK's nurse-led face-to-face cancer awareness and health promotion activity across the UK.
In this role, you'll inform and empower people to make positive changes for their health and promote early diagnosis through providing face-to-face information in hard-to-reach audiences.
What will I be doing?
Face-to-face delivery of the latest cancer prevention and early detection information in an appropriate and relevant way
Delivering face to face cancer awareness activities for people at their place of work with our Cancer Awareness in the Workplace team - typically health information stands and occasionally short presentations
Providing cover on the Cancer Awareness Roadshow, working alongside a small team to engage the public in indoor and outdoor community settings through individual face-to-face conversations
Supporting other cancer awareness activities and Cancer Research UK events
Representing Cancer Research UK in a positive and professional way and ensure that all information shared is in line with CRUK's core messages
Responsible for collecting and inputting data for evaluation purposes and contributing to other general feedback
Ensuring familiarity with local stats and local health information sheets to tailor activity and enable effective signposting to local services.
What skills are you looking for?
Registered Adult Nurse - NMC registration is mandatory for this role and must always be maintained
An interest in or experience of at least one of the following: health promotion, practice nursing, occupational health, health visiting, district/community nursing or other qualification/experience
Excellent verbal communication skills - an ability to engage people in conversation and to use motivational interviewing techniques while ensuring accuracy of information conveyed
Strong oral presentation skills, with the ability to convey clear and accurate information confidently and pitched appropriately for the audience
A clear, demonstrable understanding of boundaries and of the importance and need for always adhering to data protection and other compliance policies
Experience in delivering public-facing work, and a good understanding of the challenges associated with engaging hard to reach groups and addressing health inequalities
Excellent written, administration and organisation skills with the ability to keep accurate confidential records
Willingness to travel, including occasional unsocial hours work or overnight stays.

Overall purpose
The Philanthropy Manager will manage and steward a portfolio of funders and donors – across trusts and foundations, statutory sources and major donors – to secure annual and multi-year gifts in support of Breaking Barriers’ vision. As well as managing relationships with our existing donors there will be a focus on creating new relationships through proactive prospecting and developing a long-term strategic approach to stewardship and relationship development.
You will be an ambitious, enthusiastic, energetic, and autonomous fundraiser with a demonstrable passion for supporting people from a refugee background. You will have a strong track record of high-value relationship management and fundraising, ideally specialising in Trusts, Statutory, Major Donor fundraising or a related area. We are looking for someone who can successfully secure and steward gifts of 5 figures and above – so evidence of stewarding high-value relationships and high-quality written skills are key. You will collaborate with additional fundraisers across Trusts, Statutory, Corporate and Major Gifts to coordinate approaches and maximise opportunities across all functions.
We welcome applicants with relevant transferable skills from other sectors and other areas of fundraising but a strong knowledge of the fundamentals of grant fundraising is essential. We are looking for a passionate individual who can get people excited about the work we do and who wants to make a difference in the lives of individuals from a refugee background. You will share our energy and determination, and will be attracted by the idea of working in a team with big ambitions, and in which you will have the opportunity to grow and develop. As HR Business Partner, you will play a strategic role, acting as a partner to the senior leadership to enable us to deliver as effectively as possible to people with ME. Key Duties
People & Culture Strategy
- Work with the senior leadership to deliver the People and Culture and the Equity, Diversity and Inclusion Plans that enables the delivery of organisational goals
- Drive consistency of the implementation of the Plans
- Work with the senior leadership to review data, analyse trends, providing data-driven solutions/decisions to support cultural development. Use ongoing analysis to test the effectiveness of People and Culture interventions and processes within the organisation

Human Resource Management
- Provide first point of contact HR advice and support to colleagues and line managers, ensuring all instances are recorded appropriately
- Manage the compliant use of, and be first point of contact for, colleague queries on the HR IT System (currently BreatheHR)
- Support HR investigations and line managers with grievances, disciplinaries and other similar matters, recording meeting minutes and agreeing next steps.
- Liaise with the Federation of Small Businesses (FSB; provides insurance and employment legal advice) on complex HR cases that require external input, either on behalf of or alongside relevant line manager(s)
- Oversee all HR policies and procedures, being guided by relevant internal data and industry best practice, and ensuring they are regularly reviewed
- Complete all required administrative tasks for new starters and colleagues leaving the organisation
- Processing and managing of maternity, paternity, and adoption in line with policies and best practice
- Running of monthly HR reports, to include sickness auditing and dissemination of relevant data to CEO and line managers, if required
- Scope, plan and book/deliver appropriate training across the organisation and for individual employees where necessary
- Managing the recruitment lifecycle, which is to include advertising of vacancies, screening of applicants, interview diary management, referencing and document checks, onboarding coordination
