About us
Who we are
FTWW works to improve health equity for women, girls and people assigned female at birth across Wales, particularly those who are disabled or living with chronic or fluctuating health conditions. Our Vision is a Wales where everyone’s right to good health and wellbeing is respected, with equitable access to care without barriers. Our Mission is to eliminate health inequalities across Wales.
We do this through providing peer support, trusted information, wellbeing activities, and opportunities to build confidence and self-advocacy. Alongside this, we amplify lived experience to raise awareness, challenge stigma, influence policy, and work with service-providers to drive improvements nationally.
Overall, we aim to reduce isolation, improve wellbeing, grow personal skills, and drive systemic change so that women’s health and related needs are taken seriously, and addressed properly and equitably across Wales.
Our culture and values
We want to see a Wales where everybody’s right to good health and wellbeing is respected and fulfilled, with everyone able to access the healthcare they need, when they need it, and without barriers.
Our mission is to eliminate health inequalities in Wales for women, girls and people registered female at birth.
Equality, diversity and inclusion policy
We are a Disabled People's Organisation, with the majoirty of our staff and trustees having lived experience of the challenges that our beneficiaries face. We are keen to support disabled women and people assigned female at birth in the workplace, and offer a supportive and inclusive working environment.
We work remotely and flexibly across Wales, and we are happy to discuss alternative formats for applications.
